On 18 June 2025, the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FPBMK), Universiti Putra Malaysia, was enlivened with the presence of Almotahida Education Group, who held a special Arabic Language Book Exhibition featuring their widely recognized Kalemon Arabic series.The Kalemon series is designed specifically to cater to non-native Arabic learners, ranging from preschoolers to advanced university-level students.
This event served as a valuable platform for students and lecturers to explore high-quality Arabic learning materials and digital resources that support both classroom and independent learning.
The exhibition not only showcased physical books and printed resources, but also highlighted the digital learning platforms developed by Almotahida, including the innovative “Kamus Arabic for Life”, a modern bilingual Arabic-Malay dictionary designed for everyday use.
One of the main highlights was a live demonstration where a member of the Almotahida team guided one of the customer on how to access and use the digital version of Kamus Arabic for Life . The demonstration showed how easy it is to search Arabic words, view translations, and use the dictionary on tablets and smartphones—making Arabic learning more accessible and tech-friendly.
To make the exhibition more interactive and engaging, the Almotahida internship team—comprising enthusiastic university interns—organized several fun and educational Arabic activities for the visitors, such as:
- 🎤 Arabic Tongue Twister Challenges – encouraging participants to master tricky Arabic pronunciations in a lively and humorous setting.
- 🧠 Arabic Language Quiz – testing vocabulary, grammar, and general knowledge in Arabic through friendly competition.
- 📝 Arabic Poetry Reading Session – where students confidently recited Arabic poetry, showcasing their pronunciation and intonation while appreciating the beauty of Arabic literature.
These activities received an overwhelmingly positive response, with many students expressing their enjoyment and increased motivation to deepen their Arabic language skills. The friendly and engaging environment also helped build confidence among participants, especially those new to the language.
Overall, the Almotahida Book Exhibition and Arabic Language Activity Session at FPBMK successfully combined education and entertainment, reflecting the spirit of linguistic exploration and cultural appreciation. It also highlighted the importance of innovative language learning methods and the role of interactive tools in nurturing students’ passion for Arabic.
