🕋 Celebrating Eid al-Adha: A Time of Sacrifice, Faith, and Togetherness

As we approach one of the most significant events in the Islamic calendar, Almotahida Education Group extends warm wishes to all our students, families, educators, and partners around the world. Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is not only a religious occasion but also a powerful educational moment – one that teaches timeless values that resonate deeply with our mission as an institution.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice”, is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic calendar. Observed by Muslims around the world, this sacred day commemorates the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to God. At the moment of sacrifice, God replaced his son with a ram – a powerful reminder of faith, surrender, and divine mercy.

At Almotahida, we see Eid as more than a celebration. It is a time for reflection, spiritual growth, and communal connection. On this blessed day, Muslims begin with a special congregational prayer, followed by moments of family bonding, generosity, and compassion.

🐄 The Qurban: A Symbol of Giving and Compassion

One of the central rituals of Eid al-Adha is the Qurban (sacrifice), where animals are sacrificed in honor of Prophet Ibrahim’s test. The meat is distributed in three parts – to family, friends, and especially to the poor and needy.

Through our educational initiatives and discussions, we guide students to see this not just as a ritual, but as a practical example of empathy, sharing, and social responsibility – lessons that go hand-in-hand with our core values as a learning group.

🍽️ Feasting and Sharing

After the sacrifice, families come together to prepare hearty meals from the Qurban meat. Dishes vary across cultures – from biryani in South Asia to kofta and kebabs in the Middle East, and spicy rendang or satay in Southeast Asia.

It’s also a time for visiting relatives, giving to charity, and ensuring that no one is left out. Food parcels are shared widely, especially with those in need, making Eid al-Adha a powerful celebration of community solidarity.

🤝 A Message of Unity and Gratitude

As an organization that connects learners across the Arab world and beyond, we see Eid al-Adha as a celebration that goes beyond borders. It is a reminder that faith, compassion, and service to others are universal principles.

On behalf of the entire team at Almotahida Education Group, we wish you and your loved ones a blessed, peaceful, and joyful Eid al-Adha. May this occasion strengthen our bonds, renew our purpose, and inspire a new generation of compassionate learners and leaders.

Eid Mubarak! 🌙
